I’ve always been fascinated with the idea that it stays dark so long in the Arctic during winter, with very little daylight. I wonder what it’s like for the animals that live there?<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: start;"> I had a freebie stamp from My Favorite Things that I paired with some snowflakes from Lawn Fawn to create a night scene. I used Picket Fence Distress Ink to create a cloudy sky, and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink to give just the impression of blue water in the night. Don't you just love the way Distress Oxide shows up on dark colored paper? I cut the ice floats from vellum. The snowflakes were cut from scraps I had from another project. I can’t remember now exactly which Distress Ink colors I used. The sentiment stamp is from Lawn Fawn's Critters in the Arctic. The black card stock is from my stash, and the blue card stock is MFT's Sno Cone. I’m entering this Card in the </span><a href="http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/" style="text-align: start;" target="_blank">Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Wednesday Challenge. </a><span style="text-align: start;"> I hope you like it!</span></div>

Hi! Today I'm sharing a card I made for My Favorite Things Sketch 369.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You can see the sketch <a href="http://www.cardchallenges.com/2018/01/wednesday-sketch-challenge-sketch-369.html" target="_blank">here</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4dPfSiRW8QE_yJvcKOBEy4_W9vjYRVZIaZQsIDBa-E14nhi9P_a5VXCxw2FfplGps-nPCtdM_mdWhkEFdtQBikjmpTnuS4D1OJ9s1wJXqtJQMPGRJmirQ7GUfdSYujNa12QG-VD56zmCE/s1600/IMG_5812.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1323" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4dPfSiRW8QE_yJvcKOBEy4_W9vjYRVZIaZQsIDBa-E14nhi9P_a5VXCxw2FfplGps-nPCtdM_mdWhkEFdtQBikjmpTnuS4D1OJ9s1wJXqtJQMPGRJmirQ7GUfdSYujNa12QG-VD56zmCE/s640/IMG_5812.jpg" width="528" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For my card, I used MFT BluePrints 21, and the My Favorite Things/ EllenHutson collaborative stamp set Good Friends from The Ellen Hutson United We Flourish series. Isn't this little pup just the cutest? My sister and I had a Dalmatian when we were younger, and I think this card will be just perfect for her! He was a sweet guy named Patch, and he had one black ear, so I just may have to color one of this dog's ears! Hope you have enjoyed my card, and thanks for visiting!</div>

Well, it's the final day of the 12 Tags of Christmas With a Feminine Twist. What fun it has been! Today I made an interactive tag, inspired by Carly Tee Minner's tag. </div>

Today the tag challenge for the 12 Tags of Christmas With a Feminine Twist at the Ellen Hutson Classroom was a color challenge. I struggled somewhat with figuring out what to do. I didn't have all of the colors, and that's probably because they're not my favorites. However, I forged forward, and I hope you'll like the results as much as I did in the end! My tag today was inspired by Carolyn Peeler's tag.</div>

Day 10 of the 12 Tags of Christmas With a Feminine Twist challenge was right up my alley! I love the Rainbow colors! My tag was inspired by Sharon Harnist today. The stamps I used are from My Favorite Things, and the tag die is from Pretty Pink Posh.<br />

Day 9! I'm still having so much fun playing along with the 12 tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist at the Ellen Hutson Classroom blog. Today my tag was inspired by Heather Meeson. The stamps I used on this tag are from Honeybee Stamps. It's almost impossible to see in the photo, but the packages are very glittery--and trucks are for girls, too!<br />

I'm still playing along with the 12 Tags of Christmas With a Feminine Twist over at Ellen Hutson's blog. This tag was inspired by Heather Campbell's tag. I loved the color scheme she used for the bear tag, and I used her Copic marker colors to color my tag. The stamps I used for this tag are from Poppystamps.<br />

Today my tag for the <a href="http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/2017/12/12-tags-of-christmas-with-a-feminine-twist-2017-day-4-with-laurel-beard-and-sandy-allnock.html" target="_blank">12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist is inspired by Sandy Allnock</a>. She made the most beautiful tag with a cottage covered by vellum. I couldn't find any vellum in my stash, but I did manage to create a tag with a similar feel, (I hope!)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbU-3VFvMQFOf7VKtN_Lbpc3xd7sJKSBueIrmDaRCPPwSLHoIvijEt4ZFNs-7JdOYJV8Xit9FlsE92phdOrN939qFjMqljbar7c4NMT-28IHChZQTq7ft2Skg77zUajlizzVWUC_SkuZHo/s1600/IMG_5558.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbU-3VFvMQFOf7VKtN_Lbpc3xd7sJKSBueIrmDaRCPPwSLHoIvijEt4ZFNs-7JdOYJV8Xit9FlsE92phdOrN939qFjMqljbar7c4NMT-28IHChZQTq7ft2Skg77zUajlizzVWUC_SkuZHo/s640/IMG_5558.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The stamps are from Hero Arts, and the Tag dies are from Pretty Pink Posh and My Favorite Things. I colored the image with Zig Clean Color pens. There was a fair amount of color bleeding, since I didn't have a lot of time to allow each color to dry, but I am still satisfied with the effect. As of this posting, this tag has already been used to send off a little care package to my daughter for finals!</div>

The challenge for today was Naturally Neutral, and I decided to use another of the cups from the Hero Arts to create a tag that can also hold a gift card. I had this natural tag in my stash, and I stamped it with gold metallic ink and green ink. the stamps are from Studio Calico. I then stamped the cup in gold metallic ink, and the lid and holly in green. I filled in with Nuvo drops. The sentiment die is from Ellen Hutson. I colored it with Copic markers, and used clear embossing powder to give it shine. </div>

I've been having lots of fun creating tags for the challenges in from the 12 tags of Christmas, but I haven't kept up with the blog posts, so I will have several posts today. My tag for the <a href="http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/2017/12/12-tags-of-christmas-with-a-feminine-twist-2017-day-2-with-julia-stainton-and-keew.html" target="_blank">Day 2 Color Challenge: Silver and Gold</a> was inspired by Keeway Tsao's tag.<br />
<br />
I love all of the sparkle these snowflakes have, and I think the silver and gold are gorgeous against this blue background paper from Lawn Fawn. All other supplies are from My Favorite Things.<br />

Today I have a tag to share! It is for the Day 1 challenge of the12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist over at <a href="http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/2017/12/12-tags-of-christmas-with-a-feminine-twist-2017-day-1-with-jennifer-mcguire-and-jessica-frost-ballas.html%20" target="_blank">Ellen Hutson Classroom</a>. My tag was inspired by Jennifer McGuire. All products are from Hero Arts with the exception of the glitter pen, and the green and bamboo colored inks. Here is the tag:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrFT-cKJRPK-cb5MX7FgOfWmmhtHtZrM3xtfcUtHEfeBAZK1G10KxSbW0zzTgXikEUPDQJevK8eWXr25a8x5qZNew7bEO2L8FO9G1gaClbrtAt3Anx1g1k8x3Zr3910bjPuftJdMCW6qW_/s1600/IMG_5549.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1210" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrFT-cKJRPK-cb5MX7FgOfWmmhtHtZrM3xtfcUtHEfeBAZK1G10KxSbW0zzTgXikEUPDQJevK8eWXr25a8x5qZNew7bEO2L8FO9G1gaClbrtAt3Anx1g1k8x3Zr3910bjPuftJdMCW6qW_/s640/IMG_5549.jpg" width="481" /></a></div>
Using the Hero Arts stamp set Coffee Cup Tags, I stamped the cup 5 times with Hero Arts Punch Chalk ink, and then stamped the whip cream topping in Bamboo (CTMH). I fussy cut the topping and the cups, and folded each piece in half. Next I used the coordinating die set to cut out the cup, whip cream topping, cup cozy, and holly from Neenah solar white card stock. I then stamped the outline of the cozy and the holly in New England Ivy (CTMH) and stamped the sentiment in Punch chalk ink. The berries were colored in with Copic R27, and glittered with Wink of Stella clear Glitter brush. Now comes the fun part: I adhered half of each fussy cut cup to half of another cup, until all 5 cups were stuck together. Next I adhered the fussy cut whipped topping to each cup. I adhered the die cut of the whipped topping to the die cut of the cup, then I taped the twine from my stash to the top. next I adhered then adhered the 5 cups/whipped toppings structure to the die cut cup/whipped topping. Finally, I adhered the cup cozy die cut to the front, and decorated it with the holly die cut. I didn't really like the way the back looked, so I stamped and die-cut another cup, whipped topping, cozy, and holly to finish off the back.<br />

Hope you like it! This was a lot of fun! If my description of the technique was confusing, watch the <a href="http://www.jennifermcguireink.com/2017/12/3d.html" target="_blank">video</a> that Jennifer McGuire made.</div>

I decided to play with some new stamps and dies I received recently from My Favorite Things. The color challenge that is currently taking place has blues and lavenders, with a pop of bright pink. For interest, I added clear and glitter embossing, as well as Nuvo glitter drops. I also added a little shading to my stamped images with Prima colored pencils. I hope you like what I came up with!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLYU9mYVS_TGekWfs1gROtQit9RQyafQFdYoIxoRkqexq-bsKrRN9gfgDkP8dEm9E_Ocl3T5SA2R0CuW1TbHsMPpa-JPdOlaUEmH_O8MH5CvfXA3XHYlE0ckTanojlQ8QiL0U78O99d4An/s1600/FullSizeRender+%25286%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="508" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLYU9mYVS_TGekWfs1gROtQit9RQyafQFdYoIxoRkqexq-bsKrRN9gfgDkP8dEm9E_Ocl3T5SA2R0CuW1TbHsMPpa-JPdOlaUEmH_O8MH5CvfXA3XHYlE0ckTanojlQ8QiL0U78O99d4An/s640/FullSizeRender+%25286%2529.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
MFT products used: Sweet Forest Friends stamp set (sentiment), Fall Florals stamps and Die-namics, Blueprints 27 Die-namics, Birdhouses Die-namics, Linen Background stamp, Woodgrain background stamp, and Scatter background stamp. Here's a little tip: to make the grass have a grid-like pattern, I inked up the Scatter background stamp, and pressed paper to it. I then re-inked the stamp and turned the paper 90 degrees, and then pressed the paper to the stamp. This is a fun way to get a different look from any linear pattern stamp!Tinkerbethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07035623124825839075noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9025495531170565082.post-90630497527705783622016-12-17T23:01:00.001-05:002016-12-17T23:01:42.663-05:00Day 5 Challenge: Theme-Frozen<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I used a tag from Lawn Fawn, and stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn too. The bottom of the tag is made from clear acetate, colored with alcohol inks from Ranger. The ice float is stamped vellum colored with Copic markers. Finally, there are a few glittery snowflakes silently slipping down from the sky. I hope you like it!</div>

My 3rd post for today for the 12 tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist Series 2016 at Ellen Hutson was inpspired by Carly Tee Minner. Today's second post for the <span style="background-color: white; font-family: "trebuchet ms" , "verdana" , sans-serif;">12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist 2016 over at Ellen Hutson is another color challenge. I have to be honest. This is a difficult one for me, because it includes colors I hardly ever use: purples and greys.</span><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQ7eK8uu3YvQ7iwSmpVW-cbaeorGjM8jCFfIvfevnY0Dl0-78H2hS0E70kcRusCi5oko90CBSchRPzS3Vv59N_usVW1XPj1KsQdXHlJncOAZaLbnxMHrJJd4VRkBWz0-P1S1crkPGYK5CE/s1600/6a00d83451614969e201b7c8b6b4a5970b-450wi.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQ7eK8uu3YvQ7iwSmpVW-cbaeorGjM8jCFfIvfevnY0Dl0-78H2hS0E70kcRusCi5oko90CBSchRPzS3Vv59N_usVW1XPj1KsQdXHlJncOAZaLbnxMHrJJd4VRkBWz0-P1S1crkPGYK5CE/s320/6a00d83451614969e201b7c8b6b4a5970b-450wi.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My tag was inspired by Lisa Adametz' tag, which you can see <a href="http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/2016/12/12-tags-of-christmas-with-a-feminine-twist-2016-day-6-with-lisa-adametz-jill-foster.html" target="_blank">here</a>. I hope you like what I came up with! I used Distress Inks and Simon Says Stamps, as well as one from Hero Arts. The glitter on the star is Zing glitter embossing powder.</div>

My tag was inspired by Sharon Harnist's tag, which you can see <a href="http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/page/2/" target="_blank">here</a>. I used a gold metallic tag that I die cut using a Paper Smooches die and DCWV foil paper. The tree and deer dies are from Papertrey Ink, and I used Prismacolor Ultrafine glitter.</div>

<span style="background-color: white; font-family: "Trebuchet MS", Verdana, sans-serif;">I'm having so much fun today! <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My tag was inspired by <span style="background-color: white; font-family: "Trebuchet MS", Verdana, sans-serif;">Kryssi Ng's tag, which you can see <a href="http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/2016/12/12-tags-of-christmas-with-a-feminine-twist-2016-day-10-by-heather-meeson-and-kryssi-ng.html" target="_blank">here</a>. I chose to use the color palette, and be inspired by the little sprig of greenery and the "with Love" sentiment to create my tag in a similar theme. You can't really see it in the photo, but I also added dots of Antique Lined Distress Stickles to my sprig of greenery. </span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The stamps I used are from Papertrey Ink. I think they are in a set called "Two Feet Deep"</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
am kind of laughing, because the majority of my tags seem to be almost masculine. I have more men to give gifts to than women, so I guess that might be the reason! The whole family is currently adults, and I hope it will be a while before there are little children, as the kids are all quite young adults!</div>

<br />I simply stamped two Tim Holtz stamps onto a light blue tag in my stash. I then applied dots of Glossy Accents from Ranger, and dipped my tag into various colors of Distress Glitter.My tag was inspired by Angie Backman's tag, which you can see <a href="http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/2016/12/12-tags-of-christmas-with-a-feminine-twist.html" target="_blank">here</a>. Her lovely sprigs of evergreen reminded me of the tree in the color palette photo. I absolutely love this palette, and my bedroom is done in the same colors, with just a splash of yellow! So, I am all out of order, but I have a tag to share today for <span style="background-color: white; font-family: "Trebuchet MS", Verdana, sans-serif;"><a href="http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/2016/12/12-tags-of-christmas-with-a-feminine-twist-2016-day-11-by-kittie-caracciolo-and-anna-wight.html" target="_blank">12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist series</a>. The day 11 challenge was a Country Christmas theme, and here is what I came up with:</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-uYTgRDufZat8JUrLpSpzNXdrU312WEM4RQ4pk6mh7_1dgwRlilhSsXkh3Bb05ls3vJDtR9u0_jWGeM30w9Q8WuaDXkPHCbWzx8uDXl_bMJxXtJFpBuFJFcPix-9MkPCNSY5I0nLG2hyg/s1600/IMG_3480.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-uYTgRDufZat8JUrLpSpzNXdrU312WEM4RQ4pk6mh7_1dgwRlilhSsXkh3Bb05ls3vJDtR9u0_jWGeM30w9Q8WuaDXkPHCbWzx8uDXl_bMJxXtJFpBuFJFcPix-9MkPCNSY5I0nLG2hyg/s640/IMG_3480.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
My tag was inspired by KIttie Caracciolo's tag, which you can see <a href="http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/2016/12/12-tags-of-christmas-with-a-feminine-twist-2016-day-11-by-kittie-caracciolo-and-anna-wight.html" target="_blank">here</a>. Kittie's tag is done in greens and browns, with a pop of red, so I used that as my starting place. She also linked to a <a href="http://kittiekraft.typepad.com/kittiekraft/ribbon-tying-tutorials.html" target="_blank">bow-tying tutorial on her blog</a>, so I decided to give that a try, and I think it turned out quite nicely! <span style="background-color: white; font-family: "Trebuchet MS", Verdana, sans-serif;">I have had</span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: "Trebuchet MS", Verdana, sans-serif;"> </span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: "Trebuchet MS", Verdana, sans-serif;">these stamps from Close to My Heart in my stash for years, but they don't get much use, so I knew what I wanted to do for "Country Christmas". I colored the scene with Copic markers. Aren't those bunny slippers sweet? I couldn't resist giving them rosy little cheeks! I added little pink "lights" to the tree, and then backed the tag with a sweet calico pattern of holly leaves, berries, and tiny snowflakes.</span>Tinkerbethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07035623124825839075noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9025495531170565082.post-36753692438526426682016-12-10T09:18:00.000-05:002016-12-10T09:18:08.116-05:00Day 7 Challenge: SketchToday I have another tag to share with you for <span style="background-color: white; font-family: "Trebuchet MS", Verdana, sans-serif;"><a href="http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/2016/12/12-tag-of-christmas-with-a-feminine-twist-2016-challenge-and-welcome.html" target="_blank">12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist series at Ellen Hutson</a></span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here is the sketch:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpLXmQz-LgiIwaLaMZVY7ReHpSi97SDtNB4I7L47mwq9-_05ufPAWZl7tM53XUdo16yo_tp4JsdQwuYcNFJAx2Ua554pOFWW9K8Tgr6A5BwJvQFEIAlV83muwllv1thvR9VQlB-oYzXajY/s1600/6a00d83451614969e201b8d23c46c0970c-450wi.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpLXmQz-LgiIwaLaMZVY7ReHpSi97SDtNB4I7L47mwq9-_05ufPAWZl7tM53XUdo16yo_tp4JsdQwuYcNFJAx2Ua554pOFWW9K8Tgr6A5BwJvQFEIAlV83muwllv1thvR9VQlB-oYzXajY/s320/6a00d83451614969e201b8d23c46c0970c-450wi.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Pretty simple, with lots of possibilities! I found a tag in my stash that was already striped with beautiful gold glitter, and went to work. I had just received my holiday card kit from Simon Says Stamp, so I broke into that, using inspiration from Melania Deasy's tag, which you can see <a href="http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/2016/12/12-tags-of-christmas-with-a-feminine-twist-2016-day-7-with-heather-campbell-melania-deasy.html" target="_blank">here</a>. Here is what I came up with:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtM_-XBdXB6AsI_PDGAhWS0bLnTU24b1Yjl58G1Vqv6HVRwLEKsFc4md2HhHghFlk8vSJUhUOiDGWmqK4dG_-pc53suw-guu3n0uTbBANZSXMW-3OjNWhDYk1ip7p1p7pMixswYUZZBMGA/s1600/IMG_3474.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtM_-XBdXB6AsI_PDGAhWS0bLnTU24b1Yjl58G1Vqv6HVRwLEKsFc4md2HhHghFlk8vSJUhUOiDGWmqK4dG_-pc53suw-guu3n0uTbBANZSXMW-3OjNWhDYk1ip7p1p7pMixswYUZZBMGA/s400/IMG_3474.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I love how the dark brown deer die cut stands out against the glittery tag! The red holly berries and deer nose were made from the red Stickles from Ranger that were included in the kit. I think they really make the tag! I hope to be back with more tags later today. in the meantime, Happy Holiday crafting!</div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEia_Vvht0RIoTNyGBVdI02CXKxvBY_vcR3rBqRCGt0LkbQ9S1As5KqbA2x5xln6oVcIFO2kJDiFHlV1lvfusTTpm_f5rrs2F3hviMK3MPYfCzKnevTTFOX1dclJLB20RaazANMe-HeA7BYM/s1600/6a00d83451614969e201b8d2407c07970c-450wi.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEia_Vvht0RIoTNyGBVdI02CXKxvBY_vcR3rBqRCGt0LkbQ9S1As5KqbA2x5xln6oVcIFO2kJDiFHlV1lvfusTTpm_f5rrs2F3hviMK3MPYfCzKnevTTFOX1dclJLB20RaazANMe-HeA7BYM/s320/6a00d83451614969e201b8d2407c07970c-450wi.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My tag was inspired by <span style="background-color: white; font-family: "Trebuchet MS", Verdana, sans-serif;">Joni Nina Andaya</span> . You can see her beautiful tag <a href="http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/2016/12/12-tags-of-christmas-with-a-feminine-twist-2016-day-3-with-carissa-wiley-and-joni-nina-andaya.html" target="_blank">here</a>. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCnFZ43hCzWQYcigczy-a0Q_E3IEQX94LCtDrruaIfzS3Dd2Iadd-1G2tPg1Ei-91A85LAWH_yYXzOCXUjd0qj9nywLnGYYmNLebjnKCo35wtWsmGkuTmJOl7yqEl3Qxwh51FhKJhOqnqW/s1600/FullSizeRender+%25282%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCnFZ43hCzWQYcigczy-a0Q_E3IEQX94LCtDrruaIfzS3Dd2Iadd-1G2tPg1Ei-91A85LAWH_yYXzOCXUjd0qj9nywLnGYYmNLebjnKCo35wtWsmGkuTmJOl7yqEl3Qxwh51FhKJhOqnqW/s320/FullSizeRender+%25282%2529.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So I have to admit, I cheated. I used foil card stock, instead of a foiling technique. I'd love to try foiling some day, but I am trying to de-clutter and reorganize my space, and buying new products just doesn't fit in with my agenda at present. So, I used distress ink and a Heidi Swapp stencil with Picked Raspberry distress ink to create my background. When my husband saw it, he commented that my tag appeared to have been inspired by the spotted elephant on the Island of Misfit Toys in the Christmas special Rudolph! I die cut "merry & bright" using dies from Essentials by Ellen Hutson. There are 5 layers of white card stock and one layer of glitter card stock from DCWV. The foil card stock is also from DCWV.</div>

Yes! I'm sharing a really simple tag that I made for <span style="background-color: white; font-family: "Trebuchet MS", Verdana, sans-serif;"><a href="http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/" target="_blank">12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist series over at Ellen Hutson. </a></span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My tag is super simple, and was inspired by Laurel Beard's tag that you can see <a href="http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/2016/12/12-tags-of-christmas-with-a-feminine-twist-2016-meets-mix-it-up-challenge-day-1-by-laurel-beard-and-.html" target="_blank">here</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Although her tag is more ornate than mine, she kept it down to a few simple steps: Stamp, color, embellish. So, going with that idea, I stamped Studio Calico images in the challenge colors, brushed over everything with my Wink of Stella glitter pen in clear, then embellished with rhinestones from My Mind's Eye. My inks were from Hero Arts and Close to My Heart. Hope you like it!</div>
