Day 3 Challenge: Foil

Hello!  I am trying to keep up with the challenges over at Ellen Hutson for 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist series, but I have fallen behind!  Today I have a tag for the Day 3 challenge!
My tag was inspired by Joni Nina Andaya  .  You can see her beautiful tag here.
So I have to admit, I cheated.  I used foil card stock, instead of a foiling technique.  I'd love to try foiling some day, but I am trying to de-clutter and reorganize my space, and buying new products just doesn't fit in with my agenda at present.  So, I used distress ink and a Heidi Swapp stencil with Picked Raspberry distress ink to create my background.  When my husband saw it, he commented that my tag appeared to have been inspired by the spotted elephant on the Island of Misfit Toys in the Christmas special Rudolph!  I die cut "merry & bright" using dies from Essentials by Ellen Hutson.  There are 5 layers of white card stock and one layer of glitter card stock from DCWV.  The foil card stock is also from DCWV.

  1. hi beth, thanks so much for popping by and commenting on my tag! you've been busy creating some fabulous tags. i LOVE this one! i never would have thought of the spotted elephant, but now that i look at it, it fits. :) i love how the sentiment pops against the blue foil which is very pretty.
